For parents and grown-ups

One story.
Three ways
to share it.

Look, Listen and Read is a home for original children's books you can read together, listen to at bedtime and watch as illustrated stories. Each book is made to work in all three ways, so a story can follow your family from the couch to the car to lights-out.

The planned experience

Read, Listen, Watch. Same book.

Every original is planned as one connected book in three formats. Formats arrive as each one is finished and approved, and every book page shows which ones are actually ready.

Turn the pages together.

Illustrated pages on screen for a lap-and-sofa moment. You set the pace, pause to point at pictures and talk about what might happen next.

What it is good for

Small, warm moments, more often.

No big claims. Just practical ways a story platform can make sharing books a little easier at home.
  1. 01

    A shared ritual

The same story can be read at breakfast and heard again at bedtime. Familiar stories give families something to come back to and talk about.

  2. 02

    Room to choose

Some days call for a lap and a page, some for headphones, some for pictures in motion. You pick what fits the moment.

  3. 03

    Ages kept honest

Each book has one original age group: Ages 0–2, 3–5, 5–7 or 7–10. We do not quietly stretch a book across groups it was not made for.

  4. 04

    Grown-ups stay in charge

Accounts, plans and rewards live with you. You open the family library; children do not need a separate login. Free games are available without an account.

Our first collection

The Adventures of Deuce and Friends

Meet Deuce and explore books by age and topic. Membership opens ready formats; books still in review stay on the shelf.

Plans, in plain words

Start free. Decide later.

Family stars

Finish a book, earn a star.

One star for each different full book your family completes, in any format. Replays and previews do not add extra stars. Stars sit in one shared family balance managed by a grown-up, not per child, and they never expire.

5 stars

Can be spent on 20% off one eligible digital-book purchase. Not for subscriptions, and discounts do not stack.

An illustration of the rules only. A grown-up approves every spend on the membership page.

An honest answer

Why pay when free stories exist?

Fair question. Here is what is free, what a plan would add, and what is not ready yet.

Free, always

Classic public-domain and openly licensed books in our Free Library stay free with no account and no paywall. They are not what a paid plan sells.

What a paid plan is for

Our own original stories planned as one connected book to read, listen to and watch, a curated shelf with one honest age group per book, and grown-up tools like family stars and rewards.

Compared with YouTube and other services

Many free videos and apps are lovely, and you may prefer them. The difference here is coordination and curation: matching formats of the same book, no open chat, and grown-ups managing accounts and spending.

Where things stand today

The original books are still being prepared and are not published yet. Paid launch is paused, and nobody is charged until originals are ready.

How it works for your family

Grown-up accounts
Accounts are for grown-ups and require email verification. Children use the family library without a separate child login.
No open chat
There is no public chat or messaging between users.
Billing and rewards
Purchases and rewards require a verified grown-up account, with confirmation before spending stars.
What we keep
Your account, finished-book progress for stars, rewards and any message you send us. Signing up is not a newsletter subscription.

Questions grown-ups ask

Straight answers.

You do not have to. Free Library classics stay free. A paid plan, once launched, is for our coordinated original read, listen and watch formats, curation and grown-up features. Originals are not released yet and paid plans are paused.

Save a seat on the story sofa.

Create a free grown-up account and explore The Adventures of Deuce and Friends. Each book shows which formats are available now.
